Debian and Beta3 Update

Posted in Community, Open Source, Zimbra Server, Zimbra Web Client by Kevin Henrikson on the January 20th, 2006

We’ve now released a developer build for Debian. Please post any feedback to the forums. From our two polls Debian was a clear leader so we are happy to get this build out and available for the community.

We also released an update to Beta3, which includes a few fixes for some bugs found in Beta3.

Is there a method by which you can migrate a very basic mail server’s message store into Zimbra.

Scenario: each user has an account on the system, passwords stored in the standard passwd files, each user’s mail is in maildir format.

I’d imagine the biggest holdup would come from password storage incompatibilities, if you are using anything but the standard password hash that is used on the original system.

Great news. Any chance you could set up an APT repository for Debian?
