11k Forum Members & More

Posted in Community by John Holder on November 5th, 2007

Whew! It has been a busy couple of weeks. We’re developing some awesome stuff that will amaze you. Hopefully in the coming weeks, we’ll post more on that.

Also, a special welcome to our newest member, shfisher who is also our 11,000th member of the Zimbra forums. Upon hearing the news, shfisher says: “I’ve never been a 11,000th anything. Are there any prizes?

Yes, Shfisher, we’ll send you a cool Zimbra T-shirt!

Just 2 months ago, we announced that we had hit 10k members, so that’s about 500 registrations per month. This was our largest leap in growth in quite a while.

The Zimbra community continues to grow at an amazing speed; however, that’s not the coolest part. Perhaps the coolest part is that a majority of the people who register, go on to become active in the community.

There are several user-sponsored projects taking place. Take a look, and if you can help out, please do:

  • Zimbra on Solaris
  • Encryption Services for Zimbra
  • Perl Module to simplify SOAP access to Zimbra
  • Developing Zimbra on Eclipse
  • Zimbra + Funambol Sync4j Code
  • Wanna help out? Join the Zimbra Community!
