Hello Zimbra,

While it was clear with the purchase of Zimbra that one of the goals was to improve Yahoo's mail and collaboration tools, you correctly point out that Saas channel partners are going to add value to Zimbra. To compete with that, Yahoo would eventually think about adding "own-value" itself; to which extent may Yahoo add features to Zimbra that we, NE customers, won't be able to use?

My second concern would be about YUI - has this choice been considered because of its technical viability, or because of global company consistency? Although I am sure that Yahoo engineer's are as good as Zimbra's developers (well, maybe ;) ) - wouldn't there be a conflict of interest in choosing the best tool and library to ensure Zimbra's highest quality, and choosing Yahoo's'?

I am else globally happy that Yahoo has decided to host Zimbra or to propose SaaS solutions to the enterprise.

Zimbra's acquisition is imho an opensource challenge to Yahoo; community management and preserving the opensource spirit that allowed Zimbra to grow, even with many big companies as customers, are something that will be hard for Yahoo to get right the first time. I hope they will ;)
